FASTLANE
INJURY UPDATE
After my horrific crash in Wolverhampton Monday August 1 things are starting improve and I'm working very hard to get fit enough to ride in the Scandinavian Grand Prix in Målilla on Saturday.
It was a weird feeling being in hospital in Wolverhampton Monday night not knowing what had happened what was going on and in a lot of pain.
Grade 3 concussion and a lot of pain in my back, first couple of days after I was let out of hospital Tuesday morning I spend most of my time in bed mostly in sleeping mode. I guess it is the own way of the body to fix itself which is remarkable I think what an amazing body we have.
Thursday I started to feel a lot more alert and my headache went down which was a good feeling. On Friday I had my first physiotherapy together with Steve Williams in Alridge, kept working together with Steve for the following three days and I made small improvements all the time.
Tuesday morning I flew back to Sweden and travelled to my home in Örebro, it was quite nice to get home.
This morning I went to Rehab Centrum in Örebro where I meet with doctor Ulf Nordström and physiotherapist Magnus Johansson for a check up and also get some more treatment to try and speed my recovery up, I'm very grateful they took their time to see me. Tomorrow morning I will have another session together with Magnus more treatment on my problem areas and make a plan, my aim is still to race in the Grand Prix but I have realised that I will not be 100% probably come Saturday but I'm trying to be good enough to be able to race hard.
No pain, no gain!
